This large watercolor and ink is of Istanbul. I tried to capture the windy, hilly streets with the colorful buildings as well as The Grand Bazaar.
What I found so interesting about Istanbul, was all the cats. I had no idea cats are beloved and well taken care of by store owners and tourists alike. The city boasts at least 500,000 cats but I’m sure there are more than that. I went through 2 bags of cat food feeding all the cats on my path. Istanbul is a fascinating city and interesting. My one week did not even touch the surface.
